This is a full illustration of our experience that we have derived by using the tent for a review so each specification is discussed briefly to understand it better

Structure

The Eureka Copper Canyon LX 8-person tent has a cabin-like structure which makes it more spacious. The vertical walls and the flat roof provided a generous area for living space. The vertical walls make it a free-standing tent. The horizontal roof gives equal space for free movement all over the tent. The peak interior height of this tent is 7 feet which is massive for an 8-person tent which is admirable as it gives free movement inside the tent so that you can do any chores.

Sizes

These tents come in many different sizes, that is eureka 4-person tent, a 6-person tent, an 8-person tent, and a huge 12-person tent. These are quite similar in their functionality but there is some specification that makes them different from each other. Each tent has a different capacity to accommodate the number of people. This tent can accommodate as many as 8 people comfortably without hampering your sleep. You can place cots and sleeping bags for 8 people at a time.

Functionality

The Eureka 8-person tent is ideal for pleasant and enjoyable camping. It is palatial because of the vertical walls. This tent has 2 D-shaped doors which makes it easy to enter and exist. The large mesh windows that are almost all the sides of the tent offer a full and clear view during the day as well as at night. These mesh windows provide good ventilation throughout the camping. This extra rain fly which is extended throughout the tent protects from rainwater splashing or sweating and keeps the tent dry. The removal of rainfly at night will give you a night sky view through a mesh ceiling. It has a most beneficial feature when it comes to functionality is it comes with a room divider so that you can have some privacy and an e-port cable to bring on electricity to the room. It has zipper doors and windows.

Set Up

The Eureka 8-person tent is not very easy to set up for a new camper, if you are a regular camper then it will be easy to set up. It took 13 minutes for two people to set up this tent. It takes less time to take the tent away.

Durability

This tent consists of a heavy-duty 190 T fabric which is used for the body of the tent. It proved to be strong while camping as there were no punctures or abrasions during the camping. But the steel fiberglass pole seems to be a bit weaker during heavy wind. The stake of the tent is thin which is not ideal for strong wind. The floor fabric is 75D polyester fabric which may not last if there is any premature abrasion due to grit or small stick which may poke unless there is a footprint or a padded carpet is used. The upright-standing tent comes with four rugged steel corner poles. The fiberglass poles are attached through the sleeves of the tent’s fabric and support the roof as a pillar.

Weather Resistance

The Eureka Copper Canyon 8-person tent is efficient during heavy rain. It keeps the tent dry and moisture free as the windows and door are zippered due to which, water does not enter the tent keeping it dry even without the mesh. The fiberglass poles are connected to the stake they do not strongly hold the tent during heavy wind. Therefore, it is only good for 3 seasons and not in extreme rain and windy weather.

Vestibules

One of the main disadvantages of these tents is that it doesn’t have vestibules. The vestibules help in dry entry into the tent as you can store soiled boots and wet clothes or cooking gear, wood, etc. Due to the absence of the vestibules, you need to store everything inside the tent making it wet and occupying space for storing larger gear.

Dimension

The central peak height of the tent is 7 feet as it gives ample headspace perfect for free movement inside the tent. In addition, the floor area of the tent is 130ft square, which is ideal for 4 adults and 3 kids. These tents are not very easy to carry as it has a total weight of 14 kg not making them backpacking tent. If you are traveling in a car or van then it can be carried but if you are planning to go to trails and rough mountains then it’s going to be heavier for one person to carry all alone. As this is a tent for 8 people two people are needed to carry it from one place to another.

Storage

When it comes to going to a camp with family or a group of friends you know for a fact you have a lot of things to carry and you need a great amount of storage. We had a lot of problems while storing our rears and items that we need as it has 6 tight storage pockets and 2 gear lofts which is not enough for 8 people.
